Washington. Brasília. Beijing.

Bruna Santos is a geopolitical strategist based in Washington, D.C. She helps leaders in business and government understand how political change in the United States, Brazil, and China affects their strategy, investments, and risks.

Her work focuses on U.S.–China competition, Brazil's position between the two, and the sectors where geopolitics now drives business decisions: critical minerals, energy, technology and digital infrastructure.

She is Director of the Brazil Program at the Inter-American Dialogue. Before that, she worked at the Wilson Center's Brazil Institute and was Innovation Director and Vice President at Enap, Brazil's national school of public administration. She began her career as a futures market analyst in China.

Expertise

Political volatility is no longer a disruption to wait out. It is the condition every strategy now has to work within, and my work starts there. Drawing on experience inside the Brazilian state, in futures markets in China, and in Washington's policy world, I give leaders a clear reading of what is changing, what it means for them, and what to do next.
